Milwaukee Road GP20 951, Blue Island, IL
Busy times at Blue Island back in April of 1978. Over to the right is a B&OCT transfer run headed to the BN at Cicero. There's a pair of B&O Chessie painted GP9s up front. You can find a shot of them in my B&O, C&O, Chessie album. The object of our attention at this moment is this pair of so called GP20's on a Milwaukee Road Southeastern, rolling eastward on the Indiana Harbor Belt. They'll make a right hand turn at North Harvey tower, get on the B&O's Chicago Heights sub, and head south, gaining home rails in the Heights on their way to Faithorn and probably Terre Haute. There's a neat hi-wide first out behind the "Omaha Geeps," rebuilt GP9's, a International dump truck.
