Erie-Lackawanna E8A 812, Blue Island, IL rescan

Time for an Erie lack-a-money rescan. Back in 1975, June22 to be exact, we were standing on the Rock Island embankment at Blue Island crossing. I had been taking railroad pictures for a little over six months and I was just getting used to wandering around wherever to get the best shot. No one seemed to care, and usually the only form of attention you would get would be a friendly wave. Today, this is a big no-no, and to get the shots that we were so used to getting you need a drone. Whatever, here's an Eire-Lackawanna transfer run, rolling on the Indiana Harbor Belt, headed to either the Belt Railroad at Clearing, or the Milwaukee Road at Bensenville. Yes, these four big beauties were used on lowly transfer runs around ChicagoLand back in the final days of the E-L. Talk about going out with a bang.
