Scenic Rail Dining E9A 10C, Rubicon, WI rs
If there ever was a contest for the best looking dinner train, this would be my entry. On the head end was a beautiful E9, the 10C, leading a four car train that included two domes and a dome observation. Painted in a classy deep blue and rich gold, this train was a delight to see. Living in West Bend at the time, chasing this train was an easy thing to do. And it also was a great way to unwind after a head banger of a day on the D&H North End 1st trick. It sure beat falling into the LazyBoy and staying there until bed time. Here, the 10C is headed west with a train load of happy diners at Rubicon, WI. Nope, this is NOT that Rubicon that Jeep made famous.
