Have Frappe, Will Travel
Treated myself to a new Frappe Maker from Dynamix, the same company that made my old one that seems to have kicked the bucket (RIP ol' guy - about 5 yrs of service well done). Found one for less than $20 bucks courtesy greekshops.com (for some reason, frappes are HUGE in Greece - go figure). I always got a kick how I'd whip up my old one (complete with European Adapter, of course) to shocked co-workers who didn't understand what the hell the device was. Then I'd turn on the motor, causing heads to popup, gopher like, from cubicles. I'd make my frothy drink and eventually convert at least one person in the office to the wonders of this simple yet tasty summertime drink.
The bad news is that this baby takes batteries instead. Ah well, beggers can't be choosers. Also bought a Nestle plastic frappe drink thing that says you can make them up without a blender just by shaking the container. They're right, and they're pretty good - but a girl likes her tools :)
