Notification Fail
Was setting up a filter for emails in Gmail and noticed a forwarded email address not working. Nice that the note is in red - not nice that the system didn't contact me to let me know, which is what a 'notification' is supposed to do. Clicking on the 'view details' link gets you a new window that shows a bunch of the errors - again nice, but if you don't contact the user, it's not useful to notify, is it?
Makes you wonder how many systems have messages in them where we've designed to notify someone of something, but forget that if we don't design the notification itself properly, then it's a shout into the darkness.
