Take the Long Way Home

Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) juvenile

It was a glorious late summer sunrise, and I caught this Juvenile Cormorant, wings spread, having a sunbathe.

I followed it some way, before it plopped in the river and started fishing.

I love this shot against the background of the fence. Almost as though it's wandering home after an afternoon night at the pub.
