GC Cutoff
The 104 job seems to have a regular routine in the afternoons. Today was no exception as they rolled north off of the Illinois Transfer at "GC Cutoff" and headed up to grab coke empties to deliver to the Coke Works in Granite City.
GC Cutoff is the crossing of the Illinois Transfer main (also used heavily by NS trains from the Southern heading to / from Luther) and the Eastern Connection. Back in the day heading to the left the NKP, CNW and IC had connections with the TRRA. SH Tower is directly behind me.
