C-REX!
I had used another well placed half day of vacation to get over to St. Louis to shoot a High Iron Special and did a little exploring and familiarizing myself with the Lindenwood Yard and north end of the BNSF River Sub (STL to Memphis line). Although they have been around for a year or more, I finally had an opportunity to catch a CREX leading a BNSF train. While waiting for the special, BNSF brought north this empty Rush Tower coal train.
This is Watson Road in Shrewsbury, MO - old Route 66. The advertising harkens back to the days of the Frisco and this being a major highway. Amazingly, the message on the bridge still looks good. And "It" was shipped as this is an empty coal train heading north back to the mines in Wyoming.
