White Oak waterfalls
White Oak trail is one of the most popular trails in Shenandoah National park. There were a lot of great reviews of this hike. This hike has some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Shenandoah National Park. With five major falls, numerous smaller cascades and pools, this circuit hike is one of the best.
The park is best known for Skyline Drive, a 105 mile (169 km) road that runs the entire length of the park along the ridge of the mountains. The drive is particularly popular in the fall when the leaves are changing colors. It is also designated as a National Scenic Byway.
The Park covers the crest of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains for over seventy-five miles. The Appalachian Trail roughly parallels the Skyline Drive and about 101 miles of this trail run through the Park.
