Trees of a similar age #2
Shot three days ago in a momentary respite from all the snow. This area is now covered again. I presume this section is a planted forest as a lot of the trees are uniform in spacing and type and fairly clear of undergrowth. As a kid I would have called an area like this 'BoyScout Woods' as I had done some tree planting as a Scout and remembered the uniformity of the planting.
BW conversion in Lightroom, natural light, Canon XSi, ISO 400, 1/60th sec, F4.0, 28mm, uncropped. It's important to walk around and find the right light. Certain directions wouldn't have had the same impact - same efforts made for the others in the series. The sun was late afternoon low and brushing trees on a hilltop to the right and in another 30 mins was diffused too much to work like this
