another shot in the old bone orchard off Slateford Road. As I was shooting I saw this column of white vapour, seemingly glowing as it was illuminated by lights below it. Actually coming from the industrial place quite a distance away on the far side of Gorgie near the Approach Road, but from this perspective it looked as if it was coming up from the avenue at the end of the graveyard itself, like some ectoplasmic, supernatural phenomena.
Or I also thought perhaps not a ghostly apparition but instead the horrible manifestation from the climax of Quatermass and the Pit? That's what it put me in mind of so I quickly took a shot. Just had to love the juxtaposition of this glowing plume with the old graveyard, even though they are actually a fair bit apart the perspective made it look like a creepy effect from an old movie
