Lee's Creek Road in Mason County Kentucky

Driving south toward the Ohio River and the Dover Covered Bridge. In July 22 and 23 a flash flood was the result of 8" of rain falling in 12 hours. The steep hillsides, pictured, of Lee's Creek washed timber and other debris. into the creek, creating a dam 30' high, of debris, and washed the Dover Covered Bridge off its foundation. In nearby Maysville, server used car lots had their inventory washed down the hillsides. This created a massive pile of over 100 cars. Houses, barns, privately owned bridges and outbuildings were swept into Lee's Creek. A night to remember.
