Final form of an impractically large cardboard model of the structure of the LZ127 Graf Zeppelin.

 

I was looking to challenge myself to build something larger than the laser cutter itself, and zeppelins were outsize craft so it seemed a good idea.

 

In all 102 pieces were cut and fit, taking over an hour to burn and several hours to assemble (because I glued all the joins for maximum durability).

 

The model is impressive, but now I'm having to hunt for a place to display the thing.
