Event Driven Services

A collection of resources are bestowed upon the institution with the request that they are not made available until an event occurs.

 

Cross Repository Challenge:

-Monitoring all content in repository (management of dark archive)?

-Selection of archive (weeding) vs. “the long tail”

 

Scenario:

-time based listener

-set of actions (best before date, virus checking, archiving, integrity checking, format obsolescence)

-set of services that support actions (SOA)

-audit trail of actions undertaken, future train of actions that are yet to be!
