Glamour with Hot Lights
Taken during the shoot with Briana on Aug 25, this shot (converted to black and white) was lit using a Home Depot light. a Lowell Omni, and a 4x4 piece of cardboard. ISO at 800 gave me a shutter speed that was well within handheld tolerances, and the grain is fine for this kind of image. Main light (Omni) is on camera left and pointed through a black card with a cutout in the middle. Gaffers tape used to create a 'window' pattern. Second light (Home Depot) is aimed from behind to add definition to the legs and body. No additional light modifiers used. You can do the same thing with speedlights. Start with the power the same on both and lower the back light to taste.
