Hope to get the camera back before I go to Tibet. (This could be very soon)

The Noctilux had some odd bubbles on one of the internal elements. Focus was a tiny bit off.

Summilux was slightly off. Maybe.

30 dead pixels on the sensor.

Little things.

Opted for the M9-P conversion. Just in case there is time left to do this.

I might get the M9 back, or I might get an M9-P back. Let’s see.

Shutter managed to survive 102000 exposures without any major problems.

update:

looks like the camera and the lenses can be fixed and adjusted by mid april.

upgrade to an m9-p can’t be done at this time.

so probably at a later date.

maybe.

who knows what is going to happen on may 10th anyway.

repair is done. Now the next step is to get the camera to me here in New York.

Service was so much faster than originally expected.

Very happy with the guys at the Leica Store Munich. Super helpful and proactive.

If all people working around Leica were this way, the cameras would have an even

better reputation, I guess... (even better?)

the shipping would be killer. the value of the parts would make it very difficult to ship

the camera easily... I will pick it up b the end of the month.

Until then I will be shooting film. : )
