Pont-Aven, 2018. Costumes de la région de Pont-Aven.

The “Fête des Fleurs d’Ajonc” of Pont-Aven is the oldest festival of Brittany. It was founded in 1905 by Théodore Botrel and usually takes place on the first weekend of August.

The celebrations include a parade with the queen of the day and people dressed in local costumes, music performed by several bagades and folkloric dances.

The parade makes its way to the local park, where food is served, and where people can join the dance circles.
