Pont-Aven
Pont-Aven was a centre for milling along the river Aven which, at one time, powered fourteen water mills. The town was named in Breton « Bro goz ar milinou », which means the old country of mills, and it was known for its fourteen mills and fifteen houses.
Because of its milling industry, Pont-Aven became an important port.
