They are 100% genuine scammers. I have researched this number through my job, I work for British Telecom and have abused my position due to the fact that they are annoying me. This number is shared by one big scamming company, who move it round various departments when they get enough complaints. One of their tricks is to open the conversation with, is John there? You may say no and they hang up, but then they have a record of someone at that telephone number. To remedy this if you ever receive a call tell them straight away to please remove my number from your records (which you are legally allowed to do). Once again they are scammers who operate many different scams. Remember the golden rule,you get nothing for nothing when it comes to money. Hope this helps.
