Attachments.

I form emotional attachments to everything: inanimate objects (car, camera, laptop, teddy bears); music (Daft Punk, Bag Raiders, Vampire Weekend); television (Friends, Dexter, Supernatural)... The television one's a bit weird (okay fine, it's all a bit weird) and it just means it hurts me extra hard when people get killed off.
