I shall have to look at what's happened to the date on my camera because the dates these were taken are very wrong here.
I'll start at the beginning and sketch our troubles before we went on holiday. Tom's 94 year old mother's leg ulcers were getting so serious and it didn't seem the best time to go away. Eventually she was whisked to hospital. Tom caught a throat bug perhaps when visiting her. He was hardly better when his work colleague went sick so Tom had to do extra days just at a time when he needed the time and rest for himself. Finally, 2 day before we were due to go the car wouldn't start. It turned out to be electrical trouble that would take time to get fixed. In the mean time my health was really poor and Tom wasn't that great either but we both needed a break so in the end we hired a car and went.
The hired car had its advantages. It was smooth for me and easy to drive for Tom. After cruising for some time in the middle lane of the motorway Tom muttered to himself as he drew into the slow lane and slowed down to follow a jag, 'If a Jaguar can go at 50, so can I.' What a change from driving old cars that struggle to make it occasionally into the middle lane to pass a slower vehicle.
Many thanks for your friendship, comments, invites and good wishes. Also thank you to those who have made me their contact. Due to poor health, eye problems and low energy I regret I can't take on any new contacts but nearly always manage to reply to your comments.
One invite welcome-more, too many.
