Just in case you need a dose of cuteness to make it until the weekend - here's my mom's new chihuahua puppy again - Polkadot. (My mom isn't very creative with the names....) People asked for me to shoot her again, and since I never get that request I figure I might as well. I was home for Father's Day anyway. I'll probably take one last series of her when I go back there next weekend.

 

I tend to think men that don't like chihuahuas never got to be around one when they were puppies. If you hold one of these tiny dogs on your hand, it's almost instant love. (I've always used my dogs as a litmus test for guys I date. I figure a lot of guys wouldn't intentionally get a small dog, but if they are worth their salt they will love a little one just like a bigger one.) Plus they are so, so spunky. For example, this dog wanted to do everything BUT let me take pictures. I sat her just out of reach and started to snap a picture right when she took off running. This explains why the legs are in focus but not the head. I decided to post it anyway, because it's just too gosh darn cute. I doubt I'll ever get a picture of her running like this again.
