safe path?
I seriously considered trying to Dirty Dance my way across this log to get to the other side. Anyone remember he taught her how to balance on a log over water? Yeah!
I knew the trail well enough to know if I got past this point I'd probably be able to get close enough to Cedar Falls for some pictures. However, I sussed out the situation: sprained ankle, rain, Shoe Carnival galoshes, low cell phone battery, no cell phone signal, a whole lot of expensive new camera gear, and flood waters. I figured it was best not to try my luck. Plus I don't trust the all-weather camera bag submerged in water. I didn't really want to ruin all my gear... Sissy or smart? You be the judge.
