Sky Q Silver
The "heart" of the Sky Q system - this is the main box that feeds the Sky Q Mini boxes and any tablets in the house.
It has:
• Twelve tuners - when the system is installed, they also change the LNB on the satellite dish to a new one, which will work with both Sky Q and older systems like Sky+HD or Freesat - this is also why installation is required, you can't just swap an old Sky+HD box with a Sky Q box.
• 1080p now, Ultra HD (4K) later - Sky's Ultra HD service is being launched in Summer/Autumn this year, at which time they'll upgrade the box from HDMI 1.4 to HDMI 2.0 w/ HDCP 2.2.
• HDMI input jack for "future use".
• 2TB HDD - shared among the entire household, including the Sky Q Mini boxes. Not ideal as it's not a lot of space if you have lots of people recording things, but it does mean you can watch anything anywhere in the house.
• Completely new UI.
