Day 247, Project 365 - 6.28.10

"don't you die on me now!"

 

I think my hard drive is dying.

 

First, it started unmounting itself from my computer. I could power it on and off and it would go back to working again. I was able to copy some data off of it.

 

This all happened again this morning. Copied some stuff. Drives passed Disk Utility "Verify Disk" test.

 

Copied some more data off. Came back to my Mac with a Finder error -36 alert window. Uh oh. Error -36 = read/write error.

 

Not good.

 

RMA-ing this guy back to OWC.

 

I need to look into a RAID 1 storage solution.
