Grampian Regional Transport 101 (A101 FSA), 1984 Leyland Olympian ONLXB/1R / Alexander RH H47/26D, King Street Garage, Aberdeen, May 1984.

Probably the smartest livery carried by this batch of buses.

Grampian's first batch of Olympians followed on from Leyland Atlanteans, the first of which arrived in 1967, the last being delivered in 1983. 345 (XSS 345Y) was numerically the last one.

The Olympians commenced a new fleet number series at 101 (to 110), which was rather more logical than the use of 100 for the first of twelve Daimler Fleetline, that started the previous new fleet number series for double deckers in 1966.

The 1984 Olympians were 101 - 110 (A101 FSA - A110 FSA) which were new in January and February 1984.

Not shown in this rear view was the single piece layout of the destination screens, a feature retrospectively fitted to many Atlanteans.
