04-04-08-All I ever wanted was a car

This was for this week's assignment: Do something regarding your old car. The text reads:

 

Screws lost

beers drained

oil poured

knuckles cut on hot steel block

pants ripped on metal corners

knees banged on concrete crouching

money dropped on a dream

built when I was 18.

 

Drove from 305 to 503

but its last full year

was 2003.

With your old seats, faded red

then blue

but with the same red steering wheel

I still think of you

when washing the new car

while I rub the passenger side

rear fender

like a horse's hindquarters.
