Little known fact: Madison Indiana on the Ohio River was the source of much of New Orleans wrought iron....shipped downriver in the 1800's....in the day, Madison was going to be the capital of the state of Indiana due to it's trade on the Ohio, until Indianapolis was chosen as a more centralized location.
