The Bluffs at Oriole 26

At the little town of Oriole, Missouri, two creeks have cut the earth away from a big embankment leaving a narrow ridge with bluffs down to the creek that are (I'm guessing) 100 feet or perhaps more high. The two small creeks then join at the bridge and make a larger creek. The bluffs are composed of iron chert with larger rocks interspaced. There are many fossils in the area.

This is the West side of the bluffs. The sun was getting fairly low in the sky when I took these pictures.
