Thirty Three Years

My daughter and I put a lot of work into this! The manger was balancing on a kitchen roll holder with a dark t-shirt over it. I had my camera set up on a tripod, low to the ground, with my son's 35mm/f1.8 prime (I want one.) I had to stand and lean down to press the shutter release with my left hand, while stretching my right arm as high as I could pointing a tiny LED torch with a nice tight beam down on the manger. Katherine held the crucifix in the background, stabilizing it on a cardboard box. We tried it over a couple of nights taking many shots till we were pleased with the positioning and lighting. I didn't have to do too much in Photoshop!

We used this as one part of our Christmas eCards to family and friends this year, overlain with Matthew 20:28 - "He came into the world to give his life as a ransom for many." . The other part was a song I wrote based on "O Little Town of Bethlehem" which for anyone interested can be viewed here www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQb2CJVRZ8w .

As said in a previous upload...Happy Christmas!
