Proof I once had a mohawk.
In 1985 suburban girls did not typically walk into a Supercuts and ask for a mohawk. When I did, the beautician couldn't bring herself to make it as drastic as I wanted, but I suppose that's understandable.
My parents just found some old pics from when I was a teenager. There aren't many pictures of me from back then--hated having my picture taken. So it's fun to see this. Only wish I'd had it spiked up.
But it was a lot of work to spike hair back then. We didn't have it easy like kids do today with all the fancy hair products.
The kid on the floor is my Laotian foster brother.
