Just realized today is my last day of being in my 30s--turn 40 tomorrow. So I had to document it. Took this while watching the Colbert Report with my son Elijah just now with my cell phone. (Two shots I combined in Photoshop.) Elijah's birthday was last week--he turned 16.
I asked him to write me a doom metal song for my birthday, so he did. I need to videotape him playing it so I have it always. Doom metal is pretty easy and simple. His exact words: "The song is 5 minutes long, and I spent 6 minutes writing it." (That includes drums, guitar and bass.)
