I've been volunteer teaching yoga to the nurses at hospice for a while, but our numbers have been dwindling. one woman's son committed suicide and she hasn't felt like coming since that (and who could blame her). now another, the one student i could count on to complain about something EVERY WEEK has resigned. Turned out she was unhappy with a lot of things, not just my class.
And now, I am down to one student. "now that it's just me," she said sheepishly at the beginning of class, "can we try some harder stuff?" You betcha—we worked our way up to urdhva dhanurasana and she walked out of there feeling like a superhero. Look at that smile! So cool.
