pledge statue

A statue in honor of the pledge of allegiance. The plaque on the other side says it was placed there by the children of Salt lake City although it must have taken a lot of them as it looks pretty heavy.

You might also notice that the pledge engraved on the base is missing the all important "Under God," without which, we've been told, it loses all meaning and purpose except perhaps as a chant to be used in dark and evil ceremonies by the wicked and insane. So why did the good children who lugged this statue here dishonor it's very intention by leaving off those crucial words? Well the statue dates back to 1939, fifteen whole years before the phrase was added to the pledge in 1954 to make our children safe from communism.
