A Special Photo For Me!
On New Years Eve I posted a photo and mentioned that 2015 looked like an interesting year for me as I did not have work because of the price of oil dropping.
Well yesterday I was out taking photos, while thinking and praying about my work situation. I had stopped at the side of the dirt road wanting to take this photo as a friend called. He to is in the oil and gas industry and he just told me all the negative things going on where he was working. I finished the call and got out of my vehicle and took this photo at 9:37 in the morning. Four minutes later at 9:41 I called a guy I knew from another company where I have worked before... I got his voicemail so I left a message telling him I was looking for work. About 3 minutes later I got a news alert on my phone stating that oil had dropped to under $50 a barrel as world economy slips... I literally laughed out loud and said Jesus I'm not gonna let that bother me... I refuse to. At 9:51 exactly 10 minutes after I called my contact I got a phone call from that company. I got hired immediately as I sat at the side of the road, just moments after I took this photo. God is good.
So many people have told me that I am very lucky to be working. I really don't believe in luck. I fly out tomorrow morning to northern Alberta - working again till at least April. :)
