FVRD Norrish Creek Water Treatment Plant

Project Description:

 

Complete siteworks include clear and grubbing, rock blasting, large steel and HDPE pipe installation.

 

Plant includes 500,000 gallons concrete clearwell, 4 filter cells – 107,000 sq. ft., a separate Chlorination Building, as well as a Control Valve Building.

 

Construction of the WWTP included diverting a creek , which ran directly through the site. All environmental work had to meet strict DFO standards.

 

 

 

The Westpro Advantage:

 

All earthworks were coordinated on a very confined site and executed with Westpro forces.

 

The 20,000 m3 of filter sand was screened and washed on site to alleviate costly and time consuming trucking off and back to site.
