The upper chart shows the total Depth of Field for a Lens Aperture for

varying Subject Distance in metres.

The lower chart shows both the nearest and the furthest focus limits

for a Lens Aperture for varying Subject Distance in metres.

The curves are arranged in pairs,

each pair has the same color code

and is for an aperture setting of the lens.

The upper curve is the far focus range;

the lower curve is the near focus range.

The dashed, straight line is the subject distance.

Anything nearer than the near focus distance starts to get blurry and

the image deteriorates quickly the closer it gets to the lens. Anything

beyond the far focus gets progressively blurry.

Charts are calculated for DX camera circle of confusion 0.02mm.
