In Raymond Chandler's murder mystery The Big Sleep, one of the characters observes that he used to see a guy hanging around a bar . . . but that you don't notice he's NOT there right away; the reaction is delayed.
Suddenly today I realized that I hadn't seen any recent posts from eenar_6, a Flickr friend from the very beginning of my time on Flickr -- and his account is GONE!
This photo was floating around on a search engine.
It's shocking and saddening to discover this loss.
