On a dull day with about 98% cloud cover I waited for over an hour for a gap to come along and light up the scene, and when it did the transformation in the iron-rich soil was startling, emphasised even more by the dull surroundings. If it had been a normal sunny day I doubt if the light would have been anywhere near as effective. I will have to return to see what change the setting sun casts on the view. Farmland just north of Cardiff. (51°32'30.07"N 3° 6'32.55"W)
