Animation Reference Clips
Sorry for not uploading, but i am without capture software at the moment and CamStudio has been flashing alarms left right and centre due to the fact it is Malware.
I shall provide links to the moments where my clips start.
Clip 1:
The Matrix - Chateau Fight
Firstly, this would be very difficult due to the multiple characters the scene requires.
This could be negated by using placeholder prims, but i am unsure on the impact of this on the final mark. or it could be done using clones of the same character model.
Ultimately, this is a scene about clean and calculated movement, with every cut matched to keep the flow of movement identical.
Jackie Chan - Whoami
Clip 2:
Specifically at 4:41-49, where Jackie Chan is involved in a series of dodges against a person’s kicks. He spins around a low pole several times in order to avoid the blows. This is a useful clip to reference as it allows a single character to use a lot of small moves that still show off plenty of movement.
Problems may arise in objectifying the leg which the character is supposed to be dodging.
Clip 3:
youtu.be/AJ5oaBWYzPk?t=6m26s (same video)
at 6:26-34, A long shot where Chan uses more freerunning style movement to escape. The continuous shot makes it very good to see references. A lot of these movements are near identical, which can lead to loops being created.
Also useful is the fact it is a multi-level environment, although sometimes this can be more trouble than it is worth.
