McWay Milky Way

McWay Falls is one of most photographed places and there are so many milky way versions out there. But, still I wanted to get my own version of McWay milky way. Last Friday when we found that it was going to be a clear night, we decided to go there and give it a try. Since moon was coming out around 1 am, I couldn't compose the milky way at the position I'd like it to be. So, I walked around to do my best before moon rise.

This picture was combined with two photos, milky way was shoot just before moonrise with ISO 6400, f/2.8, and 20 seconds; the foreground was shoot right after that with ISO 800, f/2.8, and 5 minutes. At that time, moon was out already, but it was very low and behind the mountains on the left, there was no shadows. However, the bay was brighter than it was few minutes ago. So, I got a lot of details for the foreground.

Thanks for taking the time to take a look of my pictures. Your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!!
