I would like to thank Gavin Dunbar for this image, not because he told me about the location or was with me when I took it, but because he mentioned something on one of his recent uploads that got me thinking.

 

I have posted a version of this image before, although I was never really happy with it and I didn't know why. Gavin mentioned that he had images like this too and that he revisited them with fresh eyes and honed skills. I have often shyed away from re-working images as I felt that it was 'going backwards', but on this occasion I felt compelled to and I am really glad I did. Thank you Gavin. :-)
