Home sweet home

The Boulder (Colorado) valley, backed by the Flatirons rock formation below Green Mountain. On the mesa below the Flatirons is the National Center for Atmospheric Research on the left. The snowy Continental Divide and Indian Peaks are below the bluish mountain wave/ lenticular cloud. The majority of the buildings on the right hand side are part of the University of Colorado campus.

On this morning in November 2016 a supermoon had set behind the mountains, mostly obscured by the clouds. This week we had a similar moonset, although this time the moon was eclipsed, as well as completely obscured by clouds. Thanks to everyone who shared their stellar shots of this event.
