Paria Canyon afterglow
The thin silver slip of the Paria River winds its way down valley 2500 feet (760 m) below the canyon walls glowing in the post sunset skylight. To the east (left) the band of blue sky marks the Earth's shadow, below the pink band known as the belt of Venus. At the bottom of the canyon the Paria River joins the Colorado River as it leaves Glen Canyon and enters Marble Canyon. (#6)
