Kalamalka Lake, one of the large lakes in BC's Okanagan Valley, covers an area of 2574 hectares. It has a mean depth of 59 m and maximum depth of 142 m. It is often called the "lake of many colours" on account of its turquoise hue (not well shown in this photo). A view looking south from the Coldstream Valley viewpoint on Highway 97 just south of Vernon.
