L.A. has its "Hollywood" sign; Penticton has its "Penticton" sign on Mount Munson (500 m or 1640 feet), actually a low hill on the east side of Okanagan Lake just NE of the centre of town. A viewpoint on Mount Munson provides a panoramic view over the city. In this view from the west, Mount Munson is dwarfed by Mount Campbell (846 m or 2776 feet) rising above it.
