Kiger Gorge, Steens Mountain, OR

The Kiger Gorge is a huge canyon carved out by Ice Age glaciers on the western side of Steens Mountain. It is 1600 to 2000 feet (500 to 600 metres) deep, and a remarkably symmetrical U-shape throughout its length. Seen from the Kiger Gorge viewpoint.
