Cape Arago lighthouse, OR

Despite the name, this lighthouse is located on Chief's Island, close to shore about 2 miles north of the actual Cape Arago. Built in 1934, the light was deactivated in 2006; the lighthouse replaced an earlier structure built in 1866. A foghorn on the site is still active. The lighthouse is not accessible to the public, and can be viewed only from a distance.
