Rowland Lake, WA

Rowland Lake is a backwater of the Columbia River, or more precisely of Lake Bonneville (the reservoir of the Bonneville Dam), which is cut off from the river by a railway embankment. Area, 34 hectares (85 acres). The adjacent hills, which feature numerous basaltic outcrops, are covered with oak woodland with many scattered conifers.
