Table Mountain, near North Bonneville, WA

This huge cliff on Table Mountain (1042 metres or 3419 feet) is what was left after the massive Bonneville Landslide, which probably occurred between 1500 and 1700 A.D. This gigantic landslide covered about 14 square km to a depth of 60 m or more, and dammed the Columbia River for several years. There is evidence of earlier slides in the same area.
